Crabbing at Drift Creek with The Moonshine & Ditch Life

The Moonshine was invited to party it up Drift Creek style with the folks behind Ditch Life. Bryce Phelps made our official music video for Flood, and he and his wife Valerie are awesome human beings in general, so we couldn't say no. We were going to be in Lincoln City anyway to cater a wedding that weekend (yes, The Moonshine catered a wedding, we're multi-talented) and it was also my birthday, so we hit the road, girls in Loud Mary and boys in the Pizza Truck. We arrived after dark and jammed it up around the campfire, then hit the sack for an "early" mid-morning wake-up call for a crabbing mission. Susanna and Elwood were stoked to hit the water in a canoe; I'm a landlubber so I decided to stick around and take some photos.

I started things out with my iPhone since it was drizzling and pouring rain on and off. This is what the morning started out with:

I did some work for the band from the bus, then the rain dried up a bit so I really busted out my camera and got to work. My favorite's are below, from animals (including the happiest goat in all the world) and people to crab cleaning and eating, plus at least one shot of their rad front build-on to their manufactured home, and you can view all 40 photos here.

Sara's dog Ramira, my niece dog! She's a guard dog/party animal extraordinaire and always knows when to do each.
