A Lovely Wedding
What a hectic summer it's been. Between the band, shooting houses and Pickathon I've been sorely lacking in sleep and time. But it's been worth it for the opportunities we've had to spread our musical joy. A couple of months ago we were asked to bring our instruments and songs to a wedding at Bridal Veil Lakes. Not only was it an honor to be asked play at such a joyful occasion, but also considering my husband (and lead guitar, vocals and songwriter for the band) and I were married just down the road at Bridal Veil Falls, we were happy to accept.
We arrived a little early and set up promptly, which gave me a few minutes to do some shooting of the grounds.
It was a balmy 100 something degrees, but about 10 degrees cooler lakeside.
The place is a beautiful blend of stunning natural northwest scenery and lovely landscaping.
After we started our set, the bride requested that we take a break so the entire wedding party, including us, could enjoy the sunset over the view of the Columbia Gorge. Unfortunately, I had already removed my camera/phone from my person. When I walked back to get it, I did not have time to go back to the ridge for a photo, but I did have time to get this shot:
We played for revelrous dancers into the night and got some delicious food from Eat Your Heart Out Catering to take home with us.
A lovely day for a lakeside wedding! Congratulations Scott & Meredith!
