Kishi Bashi and Maggie - Musician Promo Photos with Horse - Horse and Rider Portraits Oregon and Washington

This shoot falls into a couple of different categories. Kishi Bashi reached out wanting to do a shoot to get some promo photos and when the time came to nail down the details of the look and feel of the shoot, he had noticed the equine photography on my site and wondered if we could arrange for him to ride a horse for the shoot. Bella being… well, the horse she is… I don’t so much trust her with total beginners riding out in the woods, however, Maggie had been used for all kinds of riders and was a trained stunt horse. I asked her owners if I could borrow her for the shoot and they were pretty excited about it. So I saddled her up and we rode out together, me on Bella and Kishi Bashi on Maggie, and had a fun time taking some photos with his fiddle and a horse in the Georgia heat. PS Maggie was one of my favorite horses at the time and my top pick to ride whenever Bella was lame.
