Equine Portraits in the Desert - Northwest Equine Photographer - Fine Art Pet Portraits

I was super excited to photograph Fatima and Sam in the Eastern Washington desert! First of all, I love the desert out in the Tri-Cities area - the places near water are just so beautiful! The desert just has these lovely pastel shades at all times of the year that give it a painting quality. The Russian Olives are such a pretty shade of green that works so nicely with the smooth gray green of the sage brush. Both colors contrast so nicely with the deep reds, browns and golds of so many equine coats. The desert is one of my favorite places to photograph horses, especially during the golden hour!
