Portraits with Amber Wild, Make-up Artist, Stylist

Do you ever meet a person and you just know you'll end up working on stuff together? That happened when I met Amber - we just clicked. I kept her in my mind and one day I needed a model for some one-light experimentation (I knew she would be fun to shoot and always wanted to shoot her) and I got in touch with her, well whaddya know, she needed some photos for her under-construction website.

I knew going into it exactly what kinds of lighting I wanted to use and what look I wanted to go for. High drama, high style. Check out a few of my favorites from our shoot below.

We had so much fun working together and we'll be collaborating in the future for sure! Coming soon will be a charitable shoot for Arabian Horse Rescue and Education, a group that - you guessed it - rescues Arabian horses from slaughter, retrains, rehabs and rehomes them. This is a mission near and dear to my heart considering I saved my Arabian mare from just such a fate. So Amber and I will be doing some artistic shooting of the horses with the goal of making prints and selling them in a gallery show. Stay tuned for that!
